Yari

Yari

This Japanese polearm is closer to a conventional spear, with the difference that there are two more blades protruding from the base of the original one. It’s used by warriors of all ranks — especially for those platoons that expected to come across enemy cavalry on the battlefield.

Skilled warriors can use this weapon’s extra blades to disarm an opponent from the distance, quickly turning the tides of a fight. Some warriors spend their entire life training in the use of the yari and yet never get to use it effectively.

Those who do, whoever, become some of the most feared troops in all Japan.
